This is a lovely area to stroll around and take in the different sites but this is sure a new way to view David compared to the statue in Florence. A great painting of a monumental story. It really is worth going to see, whoever...More

On a walking tour of the city, you round a corner and are confronted with this enormous mural of David and Goliath on a building which stands in the place of an old 12th century inn. Painted originally by Melchior Bocksberger in 1573. If on...More

Just a short walk from the Old Town, and near the Old Stone Bridge. Wonderful paintings on the sides of the buildings. Nice stroll and we were able to take in much of the architecture of the buildings surround the small street. There is quite...More

This is one of those places where reading the history behind the building and the family who reconstructed it is more interesting than the building itself. It is pretty and unique and gives a good insight into the different character of Regensburg compared to other...More

It is only a painting, a big painting in the house that saved Jews, so it doesn’t have more history than that... you definitely see if you walk around. Nothing special about this.

It a house ('haus') with Goliath ('Goliath') on. Ta da! 'Goliathhaus'! You can't go in, though. Worth a look, I suppose, whilst you're here.

Regensburg is full of historical landmarks; the Goliathhaus is one of them and hits the eye with a gigantic mural of Goliath. The Goliath building is medieval; the original of the mural is from the 16th century and is faithfully restored.

This ancient bldg. is notable for the David & Goliath fresco on the front. Other than that, I'm not sure what else about it is available for a tourist to see inside.

We walked by this building in Regensburg. We did not go inside and I am not even sure what the building is used for. The beauty is on the outside as there is this huge mural of David and Goliath painted on the outside. Quite...More
