Regensburg was originally a Roman military camp and the remains of that camp are now under the city with the exception of this gate. It is near the Historisches Museum and well worth a quick look if you are into things Roman.

Some fragments of an ancient Roman gate have been incorporated into modern structures, here. If you happen to be walking by, it's mildly interesting. But don't go out of your way to see it.
