For only £4.50 per adult we spent a rainy afternoon in this well appointed museum. The cashier even stored our dripping coats for us. Look out for the locks - amazing.

With a small addition to the admission price you are able to photograph the great items displayed. Good range of interesting exhibits from weapons to ceramics to interior furnishings.

Our host in our guest house highly recommended this museum to us.We went to the Criminal Museum and the one near the city hall and went down in the dungeon . Scary to think people died there. Anyway, this museum is in a league of it's own !!! Amazingly beautiful. If you only have time to do one thing go... More

This is one of the best museums I have been to. The 2000 years of history in a wonderful old convent. Beautifully presented, we didn't get to see all the exhibits as ran out of time, need to spend many hours to see it all. Wonderful history and artefacts.

Sited in a restored former convent, the museum had a selection of city, military and household items representing 2000 years of history. The collection include original religious and civil artifacts from the city and convent. The guild signs were particularly interesting and something we haven't seen elsewhere. The military and hunting collection was fairly deep for a relatively small museum,... More

We arrived here in the rain, paid our entrance fee and started our tour. Huge selection of different artefacts. Really interesting insight into the history of the town, spent longer here than expected. Really good

This is a very interesting museum with some world class displays of armour, swords, medieval weapons, hunting equipment and ceramics, all housed in a marvelously restored former convent. This museum looked like it might be interesting, but once inside it vastly exceeded expectations. the building is much larger inside than it looks and took us longer to go around than... More

Thorough, informative and yet interesting for everyone with differing interest. I liked the medieval steins and weapons displays. I found this to be a very good attraction.

Loved the arms and armor collection. The old cloister is a great, historic location. The huge stein of legend was interesting, almost bought one as a souvenir.
