You can't miss it. In the square and a huge facade with lovely architecture. Every hour the clock chimes and figures appear in the windows.

The center square is pretty busy. On top of the town hall is a tier you can go up for 2.5 euros. However, it is not for small children or people with mobility issues. At the end you are climbing a later up. You can...More

This was one of my favorite towns in Germany.... a charming medieval town surrounded by a magnificent wall. After passing through a small arch we wended our way over cobblestone streets through the town passing by many interesting buildings. There were quaint shops, cafes, restaurants,...More

I had never heard of the town, but loved visiting!! It was magical, and full of beautiful historic homes. Market square and the night watchman tour, and the wall is a must.

Market place in the old historical center. Great for having a coffee and enjoying the view. The watch outside the town hall is also a great must see

The Rathaus is interesting from an American's point of view. The city government and council is key to understanding Rothenberg. Architecturally, the building is interesting and worth a visit.
