Lively market in beautiful surrounding with lots of shops. Locals and visitors around. We visited during a city walking tour and bought huge cherries. All the produce looked fresh.

A lively market square, with a gorgeous, ornate building (home to the tourist information centre) and church in the vicinity. Dine at one of the many cafes surrounding the square - Cafe Michel has the best (and largest slices of) apple strudel ever!

Nothing special about his square. Usual array of food and oddment sellers. It is worth a visit as you stroll along the malls.

I am a sucker for old town squares. This, like most, has shops, restaurants, and interesting architecture. While small, it does reflect the city life. When visiting, get to know the locals, they will tell you a lot about their city.

The backdrop to the market is the wonderfully rococo tourist information office - the interior severe and modern behind the restored facade. The market is a pleasure with plenty of stands owned by the surrounding restaurants where good Bavarian fare comes at a reasonable price.
