I recommend this if you have time. The drive is confusing but the view is worth it. A very uniquely built church with a very pretty interior!

I am a you‘ve seen one church you‘ve seen dozens, type of guy. Here you come not just for the church, but for the fabulous view of the Würzburg city and the surrounding vineyards, countryside and the river Main.

Also the onion cúpulas were cool, there is a beer garden around. Long walk from the city but there is a parking place around.

You need a car to get here as it is not in the centre of town. But you will need to hike quite a few stairs to reach the church aswell. It’s a nice quaint church.

This building stands majestically overlooking the town and is fascinating. The architecture is unlike others in the area and stands out somewhat. I ran out of time so could not go inside, but marvelled at the building. If you have time, walk the 329 steps...More

The trail to this church starts up a beautiful treed path. It continues up steps to terraces which depict the stations of the cross. Both the exterior and interior of the church are stunning. There are also great views of the fortress, town and river.

It's a little uphill climb, but it's worth all the effort. Kapuzinerkloster carries a very unique and unmistakably Bavarian design and good for a nice 1-2 hour. A true hidden gem. While it can be seen from the main bridge, not many people bothers to...More

The views from the top were outstanding. There are 329 steps to the top as you move through the stations of the cross. I would call it a must as it's one of the buildings that stands out on the west side of the river...More

To get there we had a fairly steep walk about 500 yards and then quite a few steps to get to it, then all the "touristy" part of the kloster was closed. Great views of the city though.

While the building itself is truely a work of art the view of the fortress from the chapel gives a sense of history. One can imagine what Wurzburg looked like in 1600 and it is great. You can either walk up from town or drive...More
