Went up the tower on my birthday and I really was looking forward to it. It was a quick lift up to 203 meters and there wasn't a wait to go up either. The view from the top was amazing but unfortunately we had a day that was not clear in the far distance. However it was brilliant and very... More

This is an awesome tower standing well above 300m tall. It's a great opportunity for you to enjoy the sights of Berlin - you can literally see everything! Once you're up the sphere you can walk around freely and look out the windows at different notable places in the city, which are all highlighted and described on an information panel.... More

13 euros to go up in a lift and look at the view - really wasn't too sure what to expect. The views were amazing however we couldn't help but feel short changed. 13 euros was steep and we were in for half an hour, not really worth it

A nice way to see the city and get some knowledge about the sights. 13 euro each is a bit expensive as the you only stay a few minutes up there unless you stay for a drink.

Even though it might seem a bit pricey, the views looking out across the whole of Berlin are worth paying for! With a 360 view of Berlin, it's the only way to see it on all its beauty, definitely think it's worth a trip. We did have a drink at the bar at the top, one of those just to... More

You can literally see the TV tower from all over the city, a good landmark if you're lost. Amazing views from the viewing floors too

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
