I really enjoyed the whole Mitte part of Berlin, very modern, young, with good restaurants and bars, a great place to have dinner or just to hang out with friends.

We stayed in this area and found it to offer all that we needed and we felt totally safe. Great shops, cafes, endless coffee and nice wide streets. Not very noisy at night, loved it.

Berlin is vast, so it's impossible to view everything in a few days. If you're interested in history it's fascinating. Berlin Cathedral, the German National History and Checkpoint Charlie Museums were the high points for me.

We stayed at the Berlin Hilton located in Mitte. This a great location for restaurants, great architecture, and people watching. Many tourist attractions are in this area. Strongly recommend that you consider the area.

like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum
Island. The central location makes this one of the
city's most expensive places to live. It is here the
oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence
of some significant transformations, as well. The
gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets
between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given
