This is my favorite suburb of Berlin. Lots of cool cafes, bars and big a variety of shops. Has a unique vibe compared to a lot of other places in Berlin. Goto the Pho restaurant on Lausitzer Strasse.

Kreuzberg is a wonderful part of town. I feel like it's an authentic part of Berlin. Nice cafés, restaurants, and bars. Colourful artwork and gritty buildings. Remains of the Wall still present (or at least you can see where it has been and how it...More

Kreuzberg is in transition. Whether it helps I don't know, but nowadays it is not the nicest part of Berlin.

Calm, nice, fun, with lots of cool cafes and restaurants, parks, streets - although not very clean. But one of the best neighborhoods in Berlin and convenient to live for short stays.

Kreuzberg is the neighbourhood in the former American sector of Berlin. It is full of good and diverse places to eat, colorfull buildings and is nice for a stroll.

We had only 48 hours in Berlin, but spent two afternoons and evenings in Kreuzberg, because we liked it so much. Don't miss the market on Maybachufer (Tuesday afternoon) and walk down Bergmannstrasse (from the bus stop with the same name) if you love small...More

We spent half a day in Kreuzberg, and had a great time. It's fun for a walk and getting a less "touristic" view of the city. Great Cafes, food market, and we happened to find a cool Kreuzberg museum telling about the history of this...More

This area has a real urban feel. Traffic is a problem for a western because of the cyclists and traffic laws. Night life is here. Having a friend who can direct you is helpful. Club music is not the same as Brooklyn Music. To make...More

We visited Kreuzberg after walking to the Eastside Gallery, and crossed the Spree at the red brick Oberbaum Bridge with its two unique turrets. Following the railway line back towards the city centre it wasn't long before the lack of tourists became apparent and you...More

Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can
both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central
neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the
1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around
Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s,
rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a
carefree life here. An old hospital even became a
hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today

It´s not far from Mitte to Kreuzberg. I would think less than 10 minutes with the underground. Very easy to find and easy to use the underground too. Look for the sign U

I have never used the Hop-on Hop-Off, but I am quits sure you can get on from any point. Are you arriving at Tegel Airport or Schönefeld? Tegel is basically close to the center (6-8 minutes). In any case there will be a... More
