This striking concert hall is in maybe one of the best squares in Berlin. Luckily for us it was just a few steps outside our hotel so we could marvel at the building and spend time at the Gendarmenmarkt.

Overlooking the beautiful Gendarmenmarkt, the Konzerthaus offers a broad palette of concerts in its two halls. Almost all of them are in the classical genre. It is a favorite venue for orchestras on tour.

The Konzerthaus is on the Gendarmenmarkt, which is a nice part of Berlin to wander. You can go into the foyer of the Konzerthaus and see into the main hall.

For all friends of classical music a “must have been”. But also the surrounding building with the German and the French Dom are completing the whole ensemble of the Gendarmenmarkt. Still my most favorite place in town.

The theatre was originally built in the eighteenth century, then early in the nineteenth century Carl Gotthard Langhans (aka Brandenburg Gate) constructed a more decorative theatre that unfortunately was burnt down by fire only 15 years later. Concert House is located on the Gendarmenmarkt...one of the most beautiful squares in Berlin. There is a church on either side of the Concert House.

This is one of 3 quite impressive looking buildings in the Gendarmenmarkt square. I didn't actually go inside, but it looks good from the outside for sure. An attractive structure and well worth the effort of seeing.

This concert hall has the most amazing acoustics. If you can, it is worth attending a concert here. We went to Klassik Meets Jazz. Just a wonderful experience.

It depends on personal preference. I prefer to be in the stalls and in a centre aisle seat for easy access. I think, however, that it is such a good venue that most seats will be good. Ask the booking agent and/or look at... More

We showed up literally 5 mins before our performance and walked straight up to our seats. Photos and videos were ok, as long as no flash.

In my opinion it depends on the type of the event or concert. Generally the audience is actually quite casually dressed.
