This striking concert hall is in maybe one of the best squares in Berlin.
Luckily for us it was just a few steps outside our hotel so we could marvel at the building and spend time at the Gendarmenmarkt.
Between two elegant churches (German and French) in the most beautiful place of Berlin,the Gendarmenmarkt platz,There is this concerthaus,ex national theater,where is the sede of Berlin orchestra.In our days in not so important house,but has a over century history.(metro U2,Stadmitte).
Overlooking the beautiful Gendarmenmarkt, the Konzerthaus offers a broad palette of concerts in its two halls. Almost all of them are in the classical genre. It is a favorite venue for orchestras on tour.
For all friends of classical music a “must have been”. But also the surrounding building with the German and the French Dom are completing the whole ensemble of the Gendarmenmarkt. Still my most favorite place in town.

This is one of 3 quite impressive looking buildings in the Gendarmenmarkt square. I didn't actually go inside, but it looks good from the outside for sure. An attractive structure and well worth the effort of seeing.

It depends on personal preference. I prefer to be in the stalls and in a centre aisle seat for easy access. I think, however, that it is such a good venue that most seats will be good. Ask the booking agent and/or look at... More
