This store is quite unique. Jam packed with 100's of items from the DDR period. You will find books, posters, postcards, wrapping paper and others interesting stuff. If you are into shows like Deutschland 83, and movies like "The lives of others" and "Goodbye Lenin", you must visit this place. I have purchased a Sandmann puppet, a Berlin travel map... More

We rented a trabi from trabantmieten.de and made a stop at this shop as part of our "GDR" day. It's filled with quirky everyday items from the GDR (clearly some are reproductions). Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighbourhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
