We went here for drinks and the place was really cosy but a bit dark. The drinks were good and not expensive.

Stumbled across this by accident while walking to Friedriechstrasse and really happy we did! Great selection of meals and a waitress who although was rushed off her feet managed to look after us very well. We'd definitely go again.

My other half lives in Berlin, but very often he has to cater to my tourist longings & take me traipsing through the city to known destinations. On one of our 'adventures' it was a scorching hot day, everywhere was packed full of people until we came across the Oase (which was practically empty). They were doing 2 meals for... More

The beer choices are pretty decent for bottles and average for tap. Prices are low and pizza came out quick and hot. Vast choices that will please everyone's lunch craving. Plenty of seating, inviting atmosphere and full bar makes this place a good lunch stop.

This restaurant looks inviting on the outside, it has an exterior seating area with the comfortable beergarden-style tables and nice surroundings that tourists will be attracted to. Staff are friendly, and prices are reasonable. The food on the other hand is terrible. I chose something I thought was safe (penne arrabiata) but even that I struggled to finish. Pasta was... More

The burger was below average quality, you can get a better burger at McDonald's so don't even bother. The food was cheap but when the bill came I found out the hard way that this place is a tourists trap, one bottle of 70cl water was 5 euros, thats ridiculous i guess that why it wasn't on the menu. The... More

Looking for a restaurant and found Oase Not very busy as Sunday evening Great food and beer from a lovely menu. Cocktails too and the whisky sour was spot on. Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
