We were three mature adults who met with Harald for a one day tour of Berlin. Harald re-confirmed what we were going to view with him and what we could not, based on our own time criteria. We started off with some park sculptures and moved on to explore the Nazi era and the Cold war Era that marked this... More

A wonderful day spent in the company of Harald. His encyclopaedic knowledge of Berlin is just amazing. He took us to so many places that we would never have discovered by ourselves. Our walking tour lasted 6 hours and we covered about 8 miles at a gentle pace, so wear comfortable shoes. He was extremely flexible and asked what our... More

We were collected from our hotel by our guide Lianne and driver, Roman. Lianne confirmed with us what we wanted to see and made some other suggestions that we would have time for. We saw everything on our list and so much more than we could have done under our own steam. Lianne was so interesing and informed. We had... More

An excellent tour around all the highlights of Berlin filled with lots of information and plenty of stories about all aspects of Berlin. Harald is a font of knowledge and very enthusiastic about what he is doing. The way he presents the information makes you "hungry" to learn more and he knows details which you wouldn't find in a brochure... More

Booked a 4 hour tour with my son and daughter, I had sent a list of places I wished to see and Harald was very happy to show us these and more. Harald is very knowledgeable and was able to answer any questions we had. I would recommend you book as long as possible as the time goes so fast.... More

Harald provided an excellent tour. We are a family of five, with two teenagers and a special needs child (autism). Harald not only showed us all the highlights of Berlin, he also added in a number of sights that he anticipated would be of special interest to our children, such as the famous chocolate shop and the hotel with the... I went to Berlin for a weekend just before Christmas with my family as part of my mother's 70th birthday celebrations and as part of the trip she had arranged a tour with Harald- a 4 hour trip in his van round the city, getting out to get a close up look at the numerous points of interest along the... We're a family of 6 between the ages of 19 - 60 and had the most wonderful experience with Harald. His knowledge is limitless, his vibe & charisma is lovely and honestly we couldn't have asked for a better person to show us Berlin. I'd recommend him to all my friends and family!

My daughter and I toured with Harald for 2 consecutive days in January. Harald has an in-depth knowledge of Berlin and gave us two terrific tours of the city. His knowledge is extensive and he is a pleasure to tour with. We really feel like we know Berlin and cannot wait to return to tour with him and learn more.... More

We really enjoyed our walking tour with Harald. Despite the cold and drizzling rain, Harald provided an excellent, informed tour of Berlin, with a focus on the Wall and the Third Reich. We were so pleased we decided to walk with Harald rather than have a driver. Our tour was 3 hours but we would have liked to have made... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
