As already mentioned in all previous reviews ignore the outside looks and entrance of the building! Once inside the main doors a hidden Gem reveals itself. Spotless, very friendly and professional staff especially Soha at the reception. I chose the body scraping + soaping +1 hour deep skin massage! what an unforgettable experience (I recommend David for the massage he... More

Everything went smoothly even though most of the staff didn't speak much english, and we were guided through the process. The facilities were clean and comfy, the services provided were professional and very relaxing. A lovely little oasis in the city. Will visit... More

I've been to Hamam in 5-star hotels in Turkey but Hamam Sultan is so much better. Very clean and authentic place to enjoy and relax. Hamam experience was perfect. Massage and piling were done well and professionally. Nice personnel, some speak English well but you'll be understood anyway. Lale package has a good value for its price. We a completely... More

Great facilities, although it was a little difficult to find - look closely for the signs - its on the second floor. Really clean place, great friendly staff. I had a 3.5 hour package including a body scrub and 1 hour massage. I will definitely go here again.

On my visits to Berlin I had always been curious about the hamams, and now I finally got the courage to visit one and decided to go to Sultan Hamam based on the reviews here and on a few guidebooks I read. Based on a second floor of an uninviting building there is a clean and comfortable hamam. I chose... More

Visiting Sultan Hamam is like a quick trip to Istanbul. The atmosphere is very friendly and oriental. The hamam is even more beautiful after the recent renovation works. You can book additional services like massages or peelings. It's the perfect place to relax on a rainy day.

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
