If you like photography visit it. A enough big museum. If you go in detail you will need about 2 hours for a visit.

We saw the exhibitions of Helmut Newton, Guy Bourdin and the one about modern photography in China. All were fascinating. For photography buffs, a must see.

This is a great little museum, featuring two parts - the permanent Helmut Newton exhibition and the temporary exhibition area. I've reviewed the (overrated) Helmut Newton part separately. The temporary exhibition featured the STUNNING "Undressed" exhibition of Mario Testino. The exhibition includes numerous gigantic photographs...More

A great place to view large-scale fashion photography - images a Rollei TLR with f/2.8 lens can produce in the hands of a skilled photographer like Helmut Newton (camera on display). The permanent exhibition, Helmut Newton's Private Property, is an comprehensive look at Helmut's methods...More

Three photographers have work on display at the moment, Mario Testino, Helmut Newton (a Berliner) and Jean Pigozzi. I enjoyed all three but Helmut Newton was by far my favourite - such wonderful work displayed perfectly and interwoven with snippets of his personal life. Jean...More

This is a mix of photographs from the Berlin State Museum collection and Helmut Newton Foundation. The latter is mainly fashion photography and the former a broader body of works. They are displayed in changing exhibitions so part of the building may be closed at...More

Museum für Fotografie (Museum of Photography) is one of the 20+ museums that belong to "State Museums of Berlin" (Staatliche Museen zu Berlin). It is neither at the famous Museum Island location nor Kuturforum near Potsdamerplatz, but in a building behind Zoologische Garten station. It...More

Honestly: In my opinion this museum need a new young leader. Helmut Newton collection was dull, 'cause there is again same photos - and who want´s to see Newton´s car!? Sorry to say, but the spirit of this museum was from DDR. I expected a...More

Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through
the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which
lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood.
Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city:
upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades
and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone
streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through
little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop
