How they lived in the former DDR? This is the place to visit. And it’s free entrance. Very interactive with all kinds of stories told via ear phones. It’s not very big but worth visiting. Also in a nice area with lots of shops and...More

Though this offers more during the other seasons, this does have a lovely Christmas Market - one of the less "touristy" ones and it's a lovely walk through.

I walked through the KulturBrauerei in the Prenzlauer Berg neighborhood of Berlin in September 2018. It has a free museum on everyday life in East Germany (German Democratic Republic), a street food market, music, a movie and film center and many other things. I visited...More

The former brewery turned into a cultural hotspot is very nice. However visiting on a Sunday night around 10PM left me wonder why the place is so quiet since there's so much on offer.

A 19th century brewery turned into a cultural hotspot. Successful contrast between the industrial red brick buildings and the multicultural activities organized on the site. Not-to-be-missed in Prenzlauer Berg.

I knew nothing about this but it had been recommended.. We weren't disappointed. It's a rambling series of buildings, interesting in themselves, originally a brewery and now housing, among other things, restaurants,a cinema, night club and a museum on everyday life in the DDR. There...More

Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change
than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists
that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in
the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip
crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were
once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall,
there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have
been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays,
