Dreigroschen Oper (Brecht/Weill) in Berliner Ensemble theatre was a wonderful experience, the text and music are superb, of course, but the performance was also splendid. The audience was enthusiastic. No wonder this has been in program since 2007! The building is interesting also, but surely...More

We saw "die Stühle" by Ionesco in the rehearsal room of the Berliner Ensemble. The cast was excellent and the direction was clever and subtle. It was a great experience.

Whether or not you're familiar with his work, Bertolt Brecht's plays influenced most every literary playwright in the 20th century and most of them would gratefully acknowledge their debt to him. Unapologetically political, critical and ceaselessly inventive, Brecht managed to alienate many of his German...More

The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights
like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum

Do book in advance. Then pick up your ticket half an hour before the performance. A lot of performances will be sold out if you wait.
