Many interesting exhibits across a wide range of areas are on display, but do note that some exhibits - probably the older ones - have descriptions only in German.

A fascinating place that takes hours to see it all. Annoying that there is not a lot of English explanations

Very interesting for technology enthusiasts. Not recommended for teenagers and youger children, because they might not find old technology interesting (like first mechanical computers of 1950's). The biggest problem is that almost all descriptions are in German. And those in English are only a brief...More

Just a short U Bahn journey from Zoo Bahnhof to the most impressive museum I have ever seen, that is if you love steam engines. There is the very large collection in two large engine sheds set around a turn table.

Place is interesting. One of thing we did find though is that: For some artifacts only german description is availabe and that diminishes your intetest.

Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can

Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s,
rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a
carefree life here. An old hospital even became a
hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today
