Atlas Obscura trips are so expensive I would not book any trip with them. How can a trip of 12 days to India be so expensive, now I understand why I never book any trip with travel agencies and prefer to travel on my own.

About a 15-20 minute walk (in each direction) from Sudkreuz Bahnhof, this Nazi structure is definitely worth the walk. Built by Albert Speer to test the grounds ability to withstand the tremendous weight of the planned monolithic buildings for Hitler's new capital of Germania -...More

Why on earth would you want to go and see a "heavy load exerting body"? Well, because it's the only bit of "monumental architecture" from the Nazis that remains (that's if you don't count the various armoured concrete flak towers scattered around Berlin and Europe)....More

Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can
both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central
neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the
1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around
Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s,
rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a
carefree life here. An old hospital even became a
hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today
