I heard about this place from a walking tour and decided to see it the next day. I went around 8am via uber and got dropped off at the treptower station. Treptower park in itself is a beautiful place to visit. I love how it...More

The memorial is quite far away from most of Berlin tourist attractions. I would recommend to get there using public transportation. If you are passionate about the Second World War then this is place to visit, SInce it is a grave for 7000 people, act...More

Awestruck by this incredible monument. Great display of the old Russian presence in Berlin. The history behind the statue has to be researched beforehand/during to make it even more remarkable. A definite see during a 3-5 day visit of Berlin... from a person who grew...More

The Soviet Monument at Treptow Park is an amazing presentation of a Soviet style Monument and captures the deep sense of sacrifice of the Russian Armed Forces in defeating Nazi Germany. The Monument starts with a Statue of a Mother mourning her loss alone and...More

When you enter the Memorial site, you are greeted with Soviet propaganda from all directions - the sheer size, the number of monuments and structures, and the amount of Stalin sayings. The images are direct from a USSR propaganda brochure. As a history-lover, it is...More

This is one of my favorite memorials in the city, and Berlin has a few. The sheer size impresses and underlines the importance of the sacrifice that was made. If you have only the slightest interest in architecture, than this is well worth putting next...More

The sheer size and historical significance of this place is bone chilling. I had goose bumps despite it being 30 degrees outside. That being said, like any other war memorial, it's a masterpiece in Soviet propaganda.

A beautiful place with huge monuments and a great history.Definitely worth the visit. But it seems that not so many tourists know about it. Behind a very nice park. Come by bike or b U train.

An impressive and fitting memorial to those soviet soldiers who gave their lives in WWII. It has the grandeur, scale and feel of the 'Eastern Bloc'. Visitors can't fail to be affected and moved by this reminder of the immense sacrifice.
