Teufelsberg ('Devils mountain') is a hill (120,1m) in the Grunewald Forest in Berlin and is made out of debris of World War II. During cold war a listening post which was used by NSA and GCHQ was built on top of the hill. Since 2011 Teufelsberg can be visited daily during guided walks and tours.

Great place to see it you like street art! I was disappointed when I learnt that the tower were closed, that's the most interesting part, but still great place to visit! Not so hard to find. The entrance is 5€!

Kreutzberg meets cold war. If you are into hipster party zone, pseudo-art punk stuff and seeing how you can turn something interesting into something that has has zero historical infomation, is full of junk and graffitis, and costs 5€ (well it's hipster place so it...More

I rented a bike from the centre of Berlin and rode the 6 miles out to Teufelsberg on a sunny afternoon. The final part is a long moderate climb, riding up through a lovely forest on a bumpy track/path. (Motorists have a car park at...More

At this place I enjoyed the most of the whole visit to the center of Berlin. But the disappointment was that at the time of our visit the tower and the roofs of the buildings were closed. Still, an entrance fee of 8 Euro was...More

A oase of freedom nature. Very special to see and beautiful grafitti. A museum of the libertarian hippie front early after the fall of the wall. Wish I was there to party.

We visited this place while on holiday. Wasnt sure what to expect. The old listening station is a very interesting and unique structure to see. It has now been transformed into an artists paradise. The entire place has been covered in lots of grafitti. The...More

I was keen to visit here, as there is such a story behind it, encompassing the immediate post-war period and the Cold War. But there were just a few information boards, in German only, and no information leaflets. To add insult to a missed educational...More

Visited here today after seeing it highly recommended on TripAdvisor. Unfortunately hadn't seen anywhere that you have to pay but luckily had coins with us. €8 each. Was quite a walk off the beaten track once off the Metro, take water/snacks with you if possible...More

We were very surprised by beauty of graffitis that you can find out here. Some of them with great message. Great view on Berlin also. Old radar station gives great story to it and nice perspective. Inside the acoustic is amazing. Maybe you can go...More

What do you do with mysterious, abandoned NSA listening station built in a park where Hitler wanted to create a massive university? Let the creatives turn it into an ever changing street art museum, of course. One thing I loved so much about this place...More

I'd be surprised if it is organised enough to have an office! It looks a lot more laid back than that! You pay in to the site, but the surrounding forest park is open to all.

The path up from the road is about 750m - not too steep but can be muddy and not kept that clear [at least in winter]. The site itself does not put a premium on safety but as long as someone is with him your friend should be... More
