Marktplatz is in the middle of Bremen. You can always find something going on here during the weekend.

We went during November when it was quiet and we were able to look closely at the amazing buildings. However, a previous visit in December when the Christmas Market was in the Market Place was magical and we can recommend going then - even if...More

A large square surrounded with many beautiful buildings of many ages. Place of the famous Roland statue and the Town Hall and The Bremen Town Musicians. Well worth a visit.

It's the big market square where you can see all kinds of locals and visitors alike. The architecture is amazing. And since this area was largely untouched during the wars you get to see a lot of what things looked like centuries ago.

Nothing remarkable about this except for the statue of the Bremen Town Musicians (not as big as one would think). Market Day there once or twice a week; interesting fronting churches; nice restaurants. A pleasant stroll for an hour or two
