This historic windmill overlooks the entrance to the Sanssouci Park. It is a great meeting point but there are a lot of people here. Venture further into the park and the crowds thin for some nice quiet time. Beautiful.

It is just another windmill. Nothing great about it. Quite missable. See it if you have time or if you reach the palace early and want to kill time.

This is a big historic windmill. It is nicely kept and still works! It was impressive to be so close to it. If you want to go inside you need another ticket than just the palace ticket. If you don't have it then you can...More

Although we didnt go in (as we were on a tour) we enjoyed viewing and photographing this enormous windmill. It is actually a replica of the one built in 1737. The 2nd mill was burnt down in a battle at the end of WW2 and...More

Charmingly perched above Potsdam, this is a truly beautiful building and adds to the slow, calm nature of the surrounds.

But worth a short walk if you're already visiting the Gardens themselves. Another review mentions being able to buy flour milled on site, but I was unable to do this when I saw in December 2017.

Beautiful windmill - we have visited many throughout our travels and this was not a disappointment. Located in beautiful Sanssouci Park it was definitely on our list of sites to see. Great photo ops

. . . and the blades go round and round . . . round and round. Sits at the entrance of Schloss Sanssouci and is a great place to meet up with friends who wandered off in the gardens there.

Giant old wood windmill is pretty Interesting. Part of the Sanssouci property. There's a little gift shop inside.

The windmill is nicely reconstructed and nicely placed on top of a hill before entering the sansouci palace. A very nice opportunity to have a picture representing the area.
