I always enjoy going to art museums but this was the exception. It cost 6 euros plus an audio and pictorial guide to locate the paintings that were crammed up to the ceiling. Many of the scenes portrayed were rather weird with dark backgrounds. The...More

This charming art gallery was build to house additional paintings which would not go into Schloss Sannssouci itself. Signage from the exit of Schloss Sanssouci is clear and this building does not require an entry time slot; if you have a Kombiticket you can go...More

I actually really enjoyed visiting the gallery. The building interior was stunning and there are so many paintings dating from 17th century and I was just so amazed how they survived all these years. I'm not a fan of art but i really enjoyed it.

The scale is impressive and while the display format is not to modern tastes it does give one a feel for the impact it must have had when it was created.

Very ornate and well stocked art gallery. We found the audio guide a bit too detailed and decided to just look around. We had already visited several other properties here and were beginning to flag!

The main hall of this building is, in a word, stunning. The ceiling, the floor, the paintings, the sculpture, are as beautiful as any palace in France or elsewhere in Germany. I have seen most of the palaces in Germany, as well as Versailles outside...More

The spacious and ornate interior is really impressive. We're not experts in the arts, but you get a guide to the paintings and I must admit there are some big names like Rubens or Caravaggio and interesting paintings to get a look at. If you...More

The Picture Gallery is chock full of some lovely paintings, although their age (most are from the 17th Century) might turn off some people. What won't turn people off is the gallery itself. The gilded, vaulted ceiling and the attention to detail is simply spectacular....More

Beautiful rococo+ interior. The large collection contains only a handful of genuine masterpieces. The vast majority are derivative (from the school of, the pupils of) etc. It shows that even emperors can be fooled into buying fakes. The audio guide is useful for describing the...More
