A brilliant collection of animals and exhibits, definitely buy the kombiticket, a well numbered tour also so you don't miss a thing.

Every summer the zoo opens at specific nights for a special programme, with (classical) music and other events. It is really worth it, you can bring your won food (and take all litter back with you, please!), enjoy lovely performances and even the fireworks at...More

They sell bags of apples and carrots as you come in, but get there early as they do sell out. Or take your own carrots, apples and fresh veggies to feed the elephants! It is great fun. I have been to many zoos, but none...More

A bit pricey but overall nice visit. No special animals, similar to other zoos. Suitable for a picnic with family.

Hagenbeck Zoo dates back to 1863 and hence can look back at a long history. The zoo built artificial mountains amd rocks a long time before Disney perfected that craft in their parks. Take a look at the foto exhibits that show the erection of...More

Easy to get to - U bahn nearby. Well laid out zoo and normal range of animals. You can feed elephants who stretch their trunks over the ditch. Mara walk around freely in places. Best described as a typical zoo. Very dear to get in...More

The zoo is an ordinary zoo. Children enjoyed their time with goats. It is like a more interactive zoo. The aquarium is really less than any one I have been to. I still recommend it but I think it is a bit over priced.

It's very easy to achieve by public transport and it offers a good variety of animals, including a lovely Tropen Aquarium. The animals seem in a good care and the place is in generous clean. Recommendable for family with kids or simply visit for leisure.

We are visiting and our daughter took us and her three children to the zoo. I was surprised as she prepared apples and carrots before we left home to feed to the elephants. I've never seen visitors be able to feed the animals like that...More

The Zoo is private I do not think so considering the high pricing they have but the best would be to check directly with them

Hi,I would reckon the zoo is very friendly for strollers--it is Germany and they do things correctly unlike my country!. Hope you enjoy your visit--we spent around 5 hours there so leave plenty of time.

Hi, we didn't get to have anything near the zoo but I would recommend the Factory Hasselbrook.
