We are 3 lads flew out to Hamburg for the FC St Pauli v Dresden match I did all the organising cos as usual they can't be bothered! But I love it that way lol So having done my homework on the fish market I was going to surprise them with it by shouting "JOKER" at any time (they agreed... More

We went there early on Sunday morning and loved it. Don't expect to see a food auction. What you can do is eat breakfast and even a brunch with locals while listening a rock concert and buy some fresh fruits, vegetables and fish.

This was a lot of fun. Only open early Sunday mornings. The band was playing some people were dancing, it was just a happy atmosphere. Of course have a fish sandwich for breakfast.

The fish market is famous with locals and tourist. On a Sunday it's the best tourist attraction at least for us. we got there around 7am, it was very cold but, seeing the market so crowd and people so awake makes your heart warms up. A lot of fruits, food, clothing ect you can find there. Definitely the biggest atracción... More

We got up early on a freezing Sunday morning to arrive at the Fish market for its 7am start, but have to say it didn't live up to its TripAdvisor expectations. Apart from the large number of trailers and stalls selling exotic and bizarre-looking fresh fish or fish in sandwiches, and impressive fruit and veg stalls, we found the market... More

Very good place and environment, lots of place to choose to eat the famous fish sandwich as well as some huge variety of seafood single portions. If going to hamburg this place must be visited.

We hadn't looked into the fish market a huge amount before we went and so were very suprised but amazed at what we found. We were expecting rows and rows of fish inside the hall but instead there was a rock band playing and everyone was swaying and singing along with cups of beer at 8am! It was a great,... More

We managed to get up early to visit Sunday fish market, it was not easy, but worth it! Our hotels were in the city center, so we took bus 112, which brought us directly to the market (stop Hafentreppe). I am a fish lover and for me was great to have bread with fish for breakfast:) my advice: take bread... More

The 100-year-old St. Pauli Fish Market is unlike any market you have ever seen. The market is open every Sunday from 5:00 am to 9:30 am April through October and 7:00 am to 9:30 am from November through March. The market attracts over 70,000 visitors to the Elbe every Sunday. My daughter and I went to the market around 7:00... More
