We were surprised that the glasshouse with exotic plants was free. Very glad that we decided to check out this park. Definitely recommended.

We had a lovely time in here. The plants are labelled and set out beautifully. The smells are wonderful. We really enjoyed it here and would recommend a visit.

We just discovered the gardens the day we were leaving. There is a stream and a lot of paths, a bridge over the stream, waterfalls, a green house (but we were too late to get in). Lots of people enjoy this garden, but because there are so many different paths (at different levels), one doesn't see that many of them.... More

The Old Botanical Gardens (free admission) is a good place for a timeout from the hectic city life. It’s centrally located near Damtor railwaystation and Stephansplatz. You can walk under the trees around the small lake (watch out if you can see turtles in the water) or relax on the sun terraces near the greenhouses. There are also a lot... More

We like to visit the Botanical Gardens in each city we visit. This one has lots of water and water plants. The Japanese garden is particularly nice. Even in very late October the garden still had plenty of vegetation to make the visit worthwhile. Would like to revisit in Summer. I was confused by other reviews on here that incorrectly... More

Spent a few hours in the garden/park on a Sunday and it was fantastic! They had a festival for kids to celebrate Oktoberfest but it wasn't overwhelming or hard to get away from if you desired. Bring a book and relax for a little bit!

Enjoy the tranquil atmosphere, chill on the cafes & be amazed of the flowers, japanese garden & beautiful ponds. There's also playground for kids and in one pond you can hop from one stone to another to cross the pond!
