Not in size, but in meaning for the city. The MAK is a must to visit when staying a little longer in Frankfurt. The temporary exhibitions are always a good mixture of modern and historical design and political or non political topics. Beautiful to walk around. A perfect Sunday I would say.

A lovely attrative modern building with a mixture of collective designs from a variety of designers not to everyone's tastes and expections. A great place to visit for a young designer and those interested in art. This is a very personalised museum and collections for individual tastes.

We went museum hopping and found this to be our favorite. We love modern art and especially graphic arts. The Happy Show exhibit was entertaining as well as thought-provoking. This exhibit includes candy, gum and happy cards:)

Museumangewandtekunst….ok its a bit of a mouthful if you are asking directions but please do not miss this 'Design' showcase. The building itself is a modernist gem and nestles up to the Villa Metzler, site of the period design collections. You find it along from all the other landmark museums south of the river in Frankfurt. The architect has given... More

An exhibition you must see! Takes place all over the museum even on the elevator, the stairs, the hallways! Amazing interactivity & play! After that I have to say I'm 10 times happier 😃

Fabulous museum with an amazing show devoted to happiness. Jokes on the somber nature of Germans, this exhibit gave us chuckles & much food for thought. What brings us happiness? A great exhibit that stresses experience, such as this very one, rather than spending money on things.

If you have seen similar museums, than you will surprice, how empty this is. There are not too many exhibits, the whole buildings seems to be empty.

Well..i don't know. Hmm. Alittle to much from so called "modern". I think if i would put on a wall hundreds of different color and sizes cell phones on the wall and call it "modern art" i'd probably make some money on it too. HEY...not a bad idea for some modern artist out there 😆. A few pictures i made... More

It's a waste of time and money! Don't go there ! Empty space and nothing to see, very few objects out of context ! I was expecting to see renown German design , but found nothing useful !!! I wish I had read the terrible reviews earlier !!! I would give it -5, if it was possible !

A lot more cutting edge than I expected with a Brian Eno exhibition and experimental videos in addition to what you might expect- furniture etc. Revelation to me was the egg cup chair - where can I buy one!
