We went to watch Handbagged on Friday evening and it was very good. Really funny and easy to follow. It was a great entertaining evening. All the cast were excellent. It was a good evening with the friendly staff at the ticket office and a warm welcome in the James Bar. We ordered our drinks for the intermission as these... More

We went to See the current production Handbagged with a friend visiting from the US - it was hilarious! Outstanding play which was booked solid! Make sure to reserve drinks before the play to avoid standing in line during intermission.

We went with our daughter to se a re-telling of Cinderella. Imaginiatively played out, with audience participation, a little pantomimy, although it was aimed at kids. Great fun! Is situated in the financial district and has nice places nearby to eat. Parking is also very easy nearby. Called for tickets the day before and there was no problem retreiving them.... More

Our group of five had a great evening at the English Theatre of Frankfurt. The website is friendly and easy to navigate, so ticketing was very straight-forward. Pricing is affordable and given the size of the venue and the seating, there really isn't a bad seat in the house. The bar in the lobby, the coat check, and the general... More

I often visit the English Theatre and have never been disappointed so far. The programme is a mix of well-known plays, one musical per season and some productions - such as "The picture of Dorian Gray" - which are creatively adapted for the stage. Sadly this season public transport at the day of the play is not included in the... More

The English Theatre in Frankfurt is a rather smaller venue but offers excellent pieces. I had the opportunity to see "The portrait of Dorian Gray" and it was excellent: the pice mixes current times and "old times" in a perfect way. The ensemble, only 4 actors, managed to play all the roles bye just exchanging pieces of the costumes. The... More

This theatre is said to be the best and largest English-language stage on the European continent. I'm not sure who, exactly, is propagating this claim, but there is a lot to it. It has established itself as a meeting place of the expat community in Frankfurt - I'm German myself, but I lived in the UK for a while and... More

A small and intimate theatre where I don't believe you could have a bad view. The James bar for pre show and intermission drinks is nice too, Went to see an adaptation of Oscar Wilde's The Portrait of Dorian Gray, very enjoyable, A cast of four playing multiple roles. First act set in the present day , second act more... More

My husband and I went yesterday afternoon to the English Theater to buy tickets and we had the deal with the rudest person that could be doing this job. This very sad person seems to hate his job. We were chocked the arrogant and rude attitude!
