Worth a look if you visit Frankfurt. There are good eating places and cafes where you can sit and watch the world go by or you can shop for souvenirs. It's quaint and old world with that definite German feeling. One Government building is still used for Civil ceremonies and makes a nice backdrop for weddings. It's easy to find... More

Busy tourist area in the middle of Frankfurt that connects most of the main sites. Typical stores down the street. Architecture is traditional and cool but surprising that there is so little of this here (compare to Bavaria). In you need souvenirs, there are many shops nearby.

If you like historic town centers you will like roaming around Romer. The juxtaposition of the centuries old buildings and modern architecture is stunning. There are many small restaurants for authentic German food.

If you are looking for somewhere with a traditional German feel this is it! The buildings are beautiful and the area remains unspoiled. It is particularly lovely at Christmas time.

Ordinary sqaure with old buldings. Nothing special. Only plus would be that that's the only place in the city where i saw shops for souvenirs.

Near the river and was a shock to discover it next to the average stores on the main Street, it was said that it was rebuilt same as before world war Il, touristy and usually very crowded at night. Worth visiting it at least once

This is the most beautiful spot in Frankfurt. The architecture is great, the restaurants are terrific, and you can just sit on a bench on a sunny day and soak it all in - HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

The Römer is the centre of the old city of Frankfurt, with some nice old houses, but the area is rather small, so don't expect too much. There are many restaurants around and it is within walking distance from the main shopping Street.

Not sure what the big deal is about this place. I guess if you have never seen any other German towns it gives a glimpse of what it would look like. Very crowded with a lot of different tour groups. Did sit and eat at a place nearby and people watch.
