It's a fantastic place to enjoy a gorgeous view of the city of Marburg and it's surroundings. The castle is high above the city and it's a decent walk getting there.

It takes a while to walk up to the castle but "wow" when you get there. The tour is very good, Martin Luther lived here for a while. The view is spectacular.

This is definitely a must see! You have a nice view over Marburg and it is very nice to have a walk in and around the castle.

Steep walk with lots of steps and cobblestones but well worth the effort. Stunning panoramic views of the city and countryside.

The castle in Marburg is well worth a visit. The castle is interesting and also contains a nice museum that exhibits the history of Marburg and the surrounding area. The admission price is very reasonable. Not all exhibits have English descriptions but the entry desk...More

Some great artefacts, interesting buildings and architecture. Fantastic views over the city of Marburg. Several of the exhibits and sections were under renovation at the time, so keen to go back. Not very much in English but you can get by.

Very cool Schloss with plenty of histories. Make sure you do visit the museum, which has lots of middle-age instantiations and souvenirs))) walking around the Schloss is better after 4 pm, where the sun is not up.

There are so many great Castles to visit in Europe. I think Edinburg has some exceptional ones, with a tour telling the history about Mary Stuart and her time. In Vienna, there are several Castles, and I think Schönnbrun is... More
