This building, one of many in the old city which was destroyed during WWII and later rebuild is very important and quite beautiful.

The former residence of Leibniz was built in 1499 and destroyed by bombings in 1943. The building we can stand at today is a reconstruction which matches the original facade but at a different location.

It is one of the nicest buildings in the city. I recommend to take your time to see every panel on the building because they are different.

Another great walking tour stop, as this part of town has a great Geramic feel with the detailed architecture. Many great restaurants around to grab food or a drink and sit outside if the weather allows. It's unfortunate that there was restoration work going on...More
