The exterior of this cathedral is quite impressive with its onion domes and I was expecting quite a lot from the inside. However, it was very plain inside, being all painted in white. There was some restoration work going on. A lot of the artwork seemed to have been removed too. There is a huge organ on the wall at... More

The interior of the cathedral has been Victorianised so the highlight dor us was climbing the tower and getting wonderful views of the city and surrounding countryside. The exterior is very striking especiaally when viwed from the Markt and the Caspar David Friedrich centre

The church was nice inside. My wife liked the Organ. High ceilings and nice wooden carvings gives a nice experience.

As of March 2013, it cost 3 Euro to go up to the observation terrace, and it is absolutely worth it! It is quite a climb, often in somewhat tight spaces, but it is brilliant to see the various enormous bells and then ultimately continue on up to the observation terrace. The terrace provides the absolute best view of Greifswald... More

Magnificent cathedral around the corner from Caspar David Friedrich's birthplace. Fabulous concerts and bars next door where, if you're lucky, you'll hear organists practicing at night. Niftily eerie!

This cathedral steeple towers over the town of Griefswald. It's a prominent landmark in may of the photos I took throughout the rest of the town. The inside was large and cavernous, very gothic. Much of the color and paint has worn off the walls and ceilings, or it's been painted, so it's very white which helps a bit with... More

It is a brick cathedral from the 14th century. Very impressive. Must see. Very nice and interested view from the tower. The cathedral had a couple of misfortunes like storm in the past. But still in very good condition

An exponent of the brick gothic style. It's very impressive because it is HUGE. I only saw it from the outside but am sure it is interesting to see from the inside.
