We attended a performance of Tannhäuser at this theatre and really enjoyed it. The building looks big from the outside but smaller inside. We sat in the Parkett and the view wasn't perfect with big heads in front of us, but the production was clever and the orchestra and singers were very good. There is not a lot of room... More

Unfortunately, lack of time prevented us from attending any performances at this theatre. However, just admiring the building from outside gave us a lot of pleasure. The classical columns of the façade and the superb figures in the tympanum are absolutely beautiful and it is a credit to the city that the building is so wonderfully maintained.

THe theatre is one of the earliest examples of a city funded theatre. Opera, plays and concerts are given here. It is a restored building but quite magnificent

A theater like many others built in neo classical style. It's nice to watch an opera here. It's located in the middle of the city center.
