Learn all about the real Kölnisch Wasser. Interesting tour back to the 17th century until today. Let your nose decide which fragrance it likes best.

English talks are at 4pm daily and are €5 for an hour... they're interactive with scents to guess and cover the whole history of perfume from social demand to bottle design, marketing and making! Definitely worth a visit for the free sample at the end which retails in the shop for more than the €5 fee! Definitely worth the visit!

Eau de Cologne - The World's First Perfume, was I nvented to cure the homesickness of John Maria Farina. At Farina Fragrance Museum, you can have a very detailed insight into the production methods of perfume throughout the various stages. Warm reminder: The museum can only be visited by guided tour, please go in advance to reserve a place!

I visited this store on a Friday afternoon with my family on a casual one day trip of Cologne. There happen to be a few open spots on the English tour that started 10 minutes after we got there. It was pretty cheap & we didn't have an itinerary so we tried it. My husband even tagged along. We really... More

Very informative tour. Learned quite a bit regarding the history of Farina Eau De Cologne. It was nice how the guide dressed in character of Mr Farina and took us thru the makings of the Eau de cologne

Some good explanations of the history of the fragrance, but feels much more like a shop than a museum. So naturally I brought some original eau-de-cologne home for my wife, because she's worth it...

Nice perfume house but strange set up for tours (which really need to be booked ahead or at least reserved by going by first). They didn't allow photos of any of the museum exhibits which I found strange (no explanation why). Interesting history but I came away feeling like there was still a rivalry between Farina (the original cologne) and... More

We reached Farina Fragrance Museum when it just opened in the morning. There's a shop on the ground and the museum is on the upper floors. We couldn't visit the museum since the morning hours were completely booked. But the person-in-charge Monica really gave a good & entertaining information about the background of Eau-de-Cologne - which has had a lot... More
