Came here as bread it as a place to see with a number of random exhibitions over a number of floors, it also had a rooftop bar which I am a fan of.
I came during the day so not sure what the bar would be like during the sunset/evening but wasn't very busy but had a DJ playing but still some good views and could see some events and advertised nearby..didn't seem as if it would hold more than 40 to 50 people

Inspiring old building with six floors art and culture. We enjoyed the Horn collection of modern masters with explicit and enlightning explanation. Do not miss the Ostwall museum on the 5th floor with great collection of expressionist masters

This gallery had several things going for it, enticing me to visit; it was literally steps from my hotel, it was open until 8pm on a Friday, giving me time for a visit after my late afternoon check in, and of course it was free to enter.

When I read other TA reviews describing a “modern art” gallery, I was expecting to see canvases on walls displaying splotches of paint that I wouldn’t have a clue how to interpret. It was nothing like that at all. Instead there were fun, sometimes interactive displays featuring colourful HD video screens, sonic accompaniment, and playful fabric “sculptures”. I still wasn’t too sure how to interpret a lot of it, but it was sure fun to try.

I have a sense that this isn’t an art gallery in a traditional sense, with a set of permanent displays that you’d look at each time you went, but a display space that could well have something different every time you visit. The day I was there, much of the space wasn’t open, but what was there was an interesting way to spend an hour or two, even if you don’t have a great knowledge of modern art.

This place for people who interested in art. I cannot say it is something wow, but if you are around it worth see the inside and take some pics from outside. I liked most the two benches in the entrance with letter U that made from beer bottle symbolizing the place history (previously it was beer fabric in the place)

If you like Art then I would recommend taking a visit to this, it's over 5/6 floors and there's different exhibitions to see. It's super modern inside too and free to visit :)

It's a very nice place to visit, the plaza at the entrance is nice, and the view from the top (small) platform is very nice, you can see the whole city! And best of all is that it's free! You can also view a small museum at the lower floor.

This art museum seems to have changing exhibits. Entrance to most of it was fee of charge. Our favourite place was an art room where you could take a break, and create your own piece of art.
There is a great view of Dortmund from the roof top and a cafe on the top floor.
