The signifigance of his invention and how it changed the world cannot be fully appreciated. To see examples of how he made the transfer of information possible for the masses is an IT geek's dream.

As far as I know, there are only few medieval printing machines still operating in Europe. But, this museum gives opportunity to the visitors to enjoy in a printing history...

A must see museum when visiting Mainz city, a great mix of the history of the written words, printing and religions of the world displayed in multi storey building, I was planning a short visit, found myself spending hours in this place.

Not Mondays.....and especially take note of public holidays, which include a number of church holy days that may not be marked in other countries.
