The Elba River runs along the historic city center. There are several nice places to spend time just sitting watching the river, the boats, and people. Grab a beer or some ice cream and just chill.

there are not a lot of big cities with river banks being just grass - to sit, watch the skyline of Dresden, have party with friends, bicycle, run, ... In my opinion on of the biggest gems Dresden has.

Its best to be here during the summer when the open air cinema attracts many people. Rent a bike and do a tour along the river bank. it will tske you along beautiful parks, bridges and castles.

When the weather is nice, walking alongside the Elbe is a nice experience. Also visit the old town and enjoy a beer on one of the many terraces!

These trips are packed with food service . The actual river trip only got interesting towards the end with views of villas and vineyards. Been there done that , wouldn't again .

The paddle steamer was fine not a lot to see going down the Elbe The steamer was very clean the staff friendly you could get food and drink which was very good
