We started our first day in Dresden by hopping off the tour bus and walking through this garden. The layout of the long alleyways is beautiful, and there is also a kind of woody part as well. Delightful to see so many young children and also so many bikers (I mean bicyclists). Palace very nice, with some concerts and exhibits.

Dresdeners are so lucky to have such a large parkland to walk off the large Christmas lunches. This area is incredible and would be a great place for a family or a romantic picnic. Even during winter it is a lovely place.

Rode through here quickly on bike in the afternoon visit - lovely open spaces and gardens - huge by non-european standards.

We entered the park from the side which is further from town centre. Lot of people were jogging and running there and all I could do was to envy them. Next time I'm bringing my running gear as well. The area is very large and everyone can choose the aktivity. You can do sports - in-lining, cycling, running, walking; enjoy... More

We hire some bikes and rode though this massive park. You truly feel like you have the park to yourself it is that big. The miniature railway looked amazing and those with children will adore this. If you like open spaces this is a great place to visit.

Beautiful outdoor space perfect for walking, jogging, cycling or just lazing around. Even better take the small train that circles the whole park. Great relaxing fun.

As we walked around the Dresden historic and artistic areas, we were amazed and were in awe of the area. We had been in Berlin prior to our visit to Dresden and we will plan to spend more time in Dresden the next time.

This was a really nice garden next to the Dresden Zoo. There is a palace right in the middle of the garden which was quite clean and very relaxing we spent over an hour here just walking around and enjoying Dresden on a beautiful Monday morning. I am guessing this place is packed on the weekends.

Do not miss train ride ,which covers almost whole of the garden. There are 3 types of train engines and one of them is steam engine. Make a point to sit in that engine and others are battery operated and it is more fun sitting in steam engine one. This is best way to see whole of the garden as... More
