There is a lot going on here, history and some awesome Bavarian restraunts. We ate at the end near the wall, can't remember name, but if walk down the street with restaurants on both sides and go right up to wall, you will see a...More

Our two couples did walk trhu the old market in Dresden and truly enjoyed the atmosphere as well as the beautiful infrastructures all around the market. There were no special activities that day but we can just imagine the magic around any of them.

We stop and have lunch here and there so many good restaurants to chose from. We also enjoy walking around the area very much. There a pianist show case that day which we very much enjoy after our meal and a long walk of 5...More

A large square with a local market on the day we visited. Plenty of sites and cafes to see from there too.

It is hard to find a better place to be at Christmastime than Old Dresden. The walk along the river sparkles with the lights of the old city and the colors of Christmas. The horse drawn carriages jingle with the sounds of bells. The architecture...More

There are many better locations in this one. The market stalls fill up the area meaning any views of the buildings are compromised. At least this part of town is still well served by the trams, as there were so many changes to tram routes...More

Luckily an event was present during our stay. Otherwise pretty ordinary but if you are in Dresden visit the square anyway. During our stay every shop where closed.

A mall, just a mall. But an interesting variety of stores. I was in search of energy bars and finally found some (organic, raw, chocolate) in a basement food market. There is also a Nord See, reasonably priced European fish restaurant, on basement level.

It is about a 15 to 20 minute walk. It is flat but through the city much of it is a pedestrian area of stores including a Holiday Inn Express. An Ibis hotel is next to the Markt also.
