One must admit, the Holstentor looks a lot more impressive on photographs than in reality. But for such an old, saggy building it holds quite a reputation. There are many nice places to chill around the place – the meadow in front, the canal with...More

There is a fine exhibition about Lübecks history behind these massive walls. And they are only massive towards the enemy side, and quite friendly with windows on the town-side. The museum here is better at telling the story of lubeck than the new and modern...More

This is Lübeck main attraction and you cannot miss it! Close by to the Train station and the city centre. It’s a medieval style old city gate, it’s so impressive and stunning. To visit inside you have to pay €7 more or less, otherwise you...More

A must visit when in Luebeck. Just a short walk from the center of town, this is a scenic and vibrant area. Plenty of space to relax and take in the scenery, do some photography and watch the world go by.

This tor looks as if it is a picture straight out of a fairy tale book! There is a good area around where people can relax. The view of Holstentor from the top viewing deck of St.Peter's church is a treat to the camera.

The old gate is definitely the most stunning site in Lubeck. You can spend quite a while gazing at it, photographing it, and examining it more closely. It’s in the middle of a busy crossroads but there is a large grassy area and benches to...More

Not only is this wonderful to look at outside but the inside is a three story museum. Make sure you see the big model of the island and watch the video on Lubeck's history. Be careful on the stairs as they are tight. One of...More
