This is now not thought to be the birth place of Bach, but is a house of the same age and near to his birth house. The self guide tour gives a lot of information about Bach and there are several places to sit and...More

One of my favorite museums on our two week trip -- The high point is the musician who played Bach compositions on some old organs, harpsichords, and clavichords. We also enjoyed the multiple head sets to listen to different Bach compositions and the room playing...More

Very nice historical house with some good historical sceneries. Nice collection of musical instruments and literature, great discovery of the genius of Bach.

Try to go when there's a demonstration of Bach's music (I don't know how frequently this is done, but it was fantastic when we were there). Otherwise a small museum which was interesting and well presented, but wouldn't take a whole day

This was very nice. A man played Bach's compositions on his actual instruments. It was an amazing site to be where he played and composed, and to hear HIS instruments come to life. We loved it

I am very impressed by the Bach house. My young kids loved it! Every hour there is a 20 minute introduction & concert to instruments that were around when Bach lived. The house is well organized, great music samples everywhere. We all loved it.

I did not think I would be that impressed but this museum is top quality in its offer. The audio, unusual instruments, and performances are great. Plenty to get absorbed in.

A highlight of a visit to Eisenach, this house may or may not have been the birthplace of Bach (the historical record is unclear, but there seems to be a consensus it's close enough and similar enough to where he was born that it fits)....More

In this quaint house with an ultramodern addition, Johan Sebastian Bach's life story and impact on music history is illuminated under the very capable curatorship of Dr Joerg Hansen. You can not only look at unique artifacts that are very well presented, but also listen...More

We were lucky and arrived just in time for a presentation of various musical instruments from Bach times. The various pianos and organs were explained and played by a staff member. The new part of the building contained many headphones where you could listen to...More
