The main collection of this museum focuses on the city of Erfurt. It's probably a question of money, but it really doesn't compare well with, say, the city history gallery in Dundee's McManus Galleries or that in Leipzig's Alte Rathaus. Leipzig's also has the attraction...More

It is a good museum that provides an overview of the vast history of Erfurt. Only drawback is that all the displays are in German only. If you have a bit of an understanding of German you will get the basic idea. They have some...More

Good city museum, with lots of informative information on the city, does help if you can read German but overall a very well presented view of life in the city.

Interesting and well presented, but only in german. They don´t even have a booklet in english which is a great shame. But if you, or somebody in your company, know the native lingo you´ll spend two jolly hours there.
