It's a hugely interesting site, still unknown and uncovered by tourists. It's located in the middle of nowhere, but worth taking a taxi from Almeria. There is an info centre onsite - helpful and informative. There are two routes available - 0,5 h and 1,5...More

Los Millares is a well preserved and presented copper and bronze age site in Almeria. It is free to enter. Do not miss the trek round the 10 'forts' that guarded the approach to the village. A must see for any pre-historian.

The neolithic site is beautyful and the entrance for free. The wide areal is easy to walk, explanation tables at the excavations. It is absolutely worth a visit. We went there by car, parking space at the small museum. No dogs allowed.

The archeological museum of Almeria is an excellent visit to do (and even more when it is raining - which is not supposed to be often!). Free for people from the EU, it starts with a temporary exposition, now (until the 18th of July 2018)...More

A very well laid out set of exhibits in this archaeological site about 20km north of Almeria. A reconstruction of the buildings in a seperate area to the archaeological digs really brings the place to life. One of the earliest early bronxe age sites in...More

Apart from being a cold day (and the fantastic staff opened the gate so we could drive to the archaeological site and stay out of the wind), the site is tremendous. The museum has good descriptions in Spanish, English and German, and scale models showing...More

Out of the way and easy to miss the white building that is not well marked. There is no charge but perhaps there should be, as the experience could be enhanced. Make sure to watch the nine minute video as it gives you a better...More

Having previously seen some of the finds from this site in the main museum in Almeria, it was good to walk around the place where they came from (just outside Gador). The frequent information boards around the site are detailed and written in both Spanish...More

Really enjoyed what we saw. Disappointed told video/film was not possible to watch. Information lady advised times taken to visit each site, original and reconstructed. Also emphasised they were closing at 2pm! We felt rushed and could have taken more time. Went back to the...More

I am un-aware of any public transport in this area. You may be able to book on as part of a tour, but the best way to explore is to hire a car. Then you can take your time and travel to where ever you want at your own pace... More
