Went here with my sister twice during my visit to Almeria. Great place to take photos of the whole city with amazing views. Entrance is free if you are from the UK but I don't think it's expensive anyway. The castle is great if you love history, and even if you don't it has great views and lovely water features... More

Walked up to the fortress 3 times during our stay in Almeria. Free admission and they provide a brochure with a little information on arrival, but read up before you go to optimize your visit. Great views of the city and pleasant to walk around on a sunny day.

Easy to find and free to visit. A bit of a climb up steps and well worth the effort. Most of the fortress has been restored beautifully and the gardens very well maintained. Breathtaking views from the top.

This fort was very massive, overlooking the beautiful coastal city of Almeria, and also the mediterreanean coast. This was built to defend the city from attacks coming in from the sea. The reenactment done to show how the people lived during those times was also very good.

Had a lovely time at Alcazaba! Incredible place with stunning views of Almeria. Make sure you have at least 2 hours to see all of it. No entry fee :)

Situated close to town centre this is an awesome extensive structure. Fantastic views out over the sea and city. To make it even better it was free to visit. Well worth a visit and stroll around.
