Two chapels: the first austere, reflective of the cross, originally a cave; the second a beautiful celebration of the arts with some wonderful paintings by Goya, acquired by the priest who had inherited money and wanted to share this with his congregation while he lived...More

The beauty of the oratorio is quite spellbinding. Although ornate there is restraint and great creativity evident in the beauty of this place. It is quite unique.

A special place to visit in Cadiz. You can see some Murillo's painting and hear amazing anecdotes about the city and the church. There is an image of the pregnant Virgen Mary.

I went for the Goyas, and they are nothing to get excited about. Compared with the Black Paintings in the Prado and the amazing angels on the ceiling of the Parroquias de San Antonio de la Florida y San Pio X (also in Madrid), these...More

We wanted to see the Goya frescoes which are in the church on the second floor. There is a room downstairs which was originally a cave. The building itself is beautiful with stunning staircas
