We attended an opera there last weekend. Even though we had bought our tickets ten days in advance, we were only able to get tickets at the very, very top of the theater. Despite a very uncomfortable seating arrangement, we were greatly enjoying the performance...More

A classic small but popular theatre, with high circles and balconies. Size means that patio de butacas (stalls) generally have a good view of the stage.

Unfortunately I never got into this theatre, though I almost tried for a seat at a ballet scheduled for my last night in Cadiz. I am an early riser, however, and my train next day was an early one as well. The program for that...More

The theatre is on a square across from the university. The intricate designs of the building facade and details around the doors and windows create a magical appearance. The square has benches and shade trees. A great place to stop for a rest.

Beautiful theater with every show very well done. Many friendly staff and incredible details (look up when you are inside- I wonder how long it took to paint!) my pictures do it no justice.

Happened to be in Cadiz when a civic Gala (variety) performance was taking place - included many very successful and professional "local" performers such as flamenco's Jonathan Santiago. Fascinating to see the audience reaction. We feel very fortunate to take in this performance and only...More

Ok, architecture there is a marvel, too. But foremostly, we learn about how the great composer Manuel de Falla, born 23/11/1876, bridged flamenco to classic music, in a revolutionary albeit sweet mode...

This was not open for touring when we were here, but the outside is wonderful. I loved the use of bricks, the patterns created were so artistic. The color is memorable, adding to overall feeling of timelessness. We passed by it often, but each time...More

Landmark of the southwestern part of the casco antiguo, this nicely restored building is also a theater that houses a lot of events.
