Stunning seafront

Loads of bars/restaurants to choose from, good for people watching, taking a dip, or just chilling on a sunny afternoon

Flat sandy beach, which take about 45minutes to walk to the Royal Andalus Hotel. Few restaurants, and shops in playa La Barrosa. Buses stop at the roundabout, which you can walk down to the beach.

We have been to this beach for the last 8 years on a yearly basis. I haven't written a review before because you kind of don't want to share it with the UK. It does get busy, but come siesta time you have the beach almost to yourselves. the promenade is immaculate as is the beach, there are lifeguards on... More

a delightful place I should imagine, in season, but out of season not worth the visit. A pity because the place is veray pleasant with ample parking lots of hotels, restaurants, golf courses and a lovely beach

The Costa de la Luz is basically one long sandy strip from Cadiz to Tarifa with the odd interruption. La Barrosa is at the northern end, and it is fantastic. You don't have to walk far to find peace and quiet, if that's what you want, and there's a really pleasant family atmosphere. There are good beach bars and restaurants... More

This is a really beautiful long golden beach with a promenade along a small part of it. In my opinion, it's a really busy family beach during the summer months and in winter a perfect place to enjoy long walks. It has something for everyone at different times of the year.

Stayed in apartments just a little way off the beach.. my partner walked the beach each day. Quiet in the week but full of locals at the weekend.. Beautiful area.. good links to Chiclana, and Cadiz, a bus every 30 minutes in November.. more frequent in the summer I understand from our apartment owners. The cafes and restaurants both on... One of the better beaches in Spain, gradual sloping into the sea, wide, except in july-august perhaps ample space, then it can be crowded, all facilities including salvage team - showers and toilets, restaurants and chiringuitos all over, divided into three parts: Barrosa 1, with walking path alongside until Barrosa 2, where small dunes and unpaved sand road continue, quieter,... This beach is sandy and clean. It was too windy too swim too far but it was so nice to take a long walk along the seashore.

A beautiful sandy beach with plenty of food choices and local shops. Would make a well worth day or night trip.
