The historic centre of Estepona is pleasant but small. It's a nice place to be but certainly not worth traveling to Estepona to see. The historic centres of Sevilla and Granada are much more extensive.

Found this area thanks to Tripadvisor, a true gem if you like exploring old towns. Estepona old town has been nicely spruced up a few years ago.

You can read about it in brochures, but actually wandering the flower lines streets is far better. There was lots of noisy building work at the main plaza on our first day, but later in the week, it was quiet and a beautiful place to...More

Estepona has one of the best Spanish old towns I’ve ever seen. Everything is so beautifully kept and clean and the flower displays are amazing. A gorgeous place for a wander anytime of the day or night.

White washed buildings and fabulous flowers, it's worth making the effort to walk here and get a taste of the old Spanish town.

Probably one of the most delightful and underrated towns I've ever had the pleasure to visit. The seafront is the seafront, and you could be pretty much in any resort in Europe, but the centre is something else entirely. It is immaculate, highly walkable, has...More

Hi Janice I would say it’s about 20/30 mins, and in the heat may be best to get a taxi. That is what we did en route back from a day out at Pueto Buenos. I loved Estepona, especially the market on a Weds and Sun. Ros
