The museum is relatively small, only one floor in a old markethall building. They have changing exhibitions also from artists that are not that famous yet. It's free of charge.

If you're a fan of modern art maybe you'll enjoy the gallery. The collection is not large and as a matter of opinion there didn't seem to be many distinguished works. They need to add more as the size of the building dwarfs the exhibits. Some items suggest that the cleaners have forgotten to remove rubbish laying around on the... More

The gallery is all on one level, so it's easy to get around and see everything. It's not huge, but it's big enough to be fascinating. They have a small permanent collection of international artists (including Warhol), but most of the space is given over to new and upcoming artists from Spain. We visit 4-5 times every year and love... More

If you enjoy modern art you should go here as I did. The building is next to the dry river bead near the port. The space is well designed (as most Spanish projects are) and offers free admission. It is unfair that I am carping about their current exhibit (which covered much of the area) that did not give me... More

As we already visited and enjoyed some of the other museums in Malaga we decided we also had to visit the contemporary Art Museum. It proved to be a big desilusion to us. It feels more like a ( not very professional) comercial art gallery. One with no soul, no structure, no feel; just large canvasses on large walls. Entrance is... More

The large open plan gallery gives plenty of creative options for the different exhibitions. Interesting permenant displays and great bookshop.

I visited half october, and was disappointed by the intermingled works of David Salle, obviously added to a more "permanent" collection, which gave an overall impression of bric-à-brac. Well hidden between all this, three (average) works of Andy Warhol... The admission is free, there is no cloakroom and very few control: I would recommend to be more prudent...

As the exhibition changes then reviews may well change. Free entry. I would normally sail around such a gallery in less than 45 mins but I was in here for well over an hour as it was fascinating.
